Marvin Brown is a second-year doctoral student at NYU Silver School of Social Work and has been a school-based social worker since 2016 and a psychotherapist in private practice since 2020. His interest in substance use and harm reduction began in 2020 when he trained as a psychedelic-assisted therapist through California Integral Studies. Mr. Brown’s research focuses on psychedelic-assisted therapy, overdose prevention centers and harm reduction, and the integration of these topics into social work education.
