PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This online training bystander training module:
- Described the U.S. opioid overdose epidemic
- Explained the risk of overdose from opioid analgesics and heroin
- Taught learners how to recognize an opioid-associated overdose
- Demonstrated how to respond effectively to an opioid-associated overdose (using animated scenarios, graphic sequences, and narration provided by professional voice actors), and
- Linked learners to additional resources, including SAMSHA’s overdose toolkits and drug treatment finder
