PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Brooklyn Treatment Court (BTC) is the problem solving court for Kings County, and includes a drug court, DUI court, and Veterans Court, each of which provides alternatives to incarceration for drug addicted, non-violent arrestees. This project is an evaluation of the impact of a new inpatient residential program for opioid and alcohol dependent participants in the Brooklyn Treatment Court (BTC). The evaluation will focus on substance use, criminal behaviors, and other related program outcomes. The information learned from the study will help improve the new inpatient residential program of the BTC, leading to better outcomes.
